Please have a look through our frequently asked questions page for any inquiries you may have about our operation. If your question is not listed below please feel free to contact us here.
What type of cattle do you raise?
We raise angus cattle that we believe is the best tasting beef you can find on the market.
What is the advantages of the Raise Your Own Beef option?
Once your order is complete we transfer ownership of the animal to you and you now have the option on how you finish the beef, when you want it processed and the day of delivery. While we still raise and care for the animal it is now yours! Once the animal is ready to be processed you then have the option to keep all of the meat yourself or sell it to your family and friends.
You also have the option to tour our facilities and see your animal first hand. We usually suggest coming out during the summer month to allow for a better tour and to take in the breathtaking sights of our pasture land. While you are welcome over the winter months, -30 is even colder on the open prairies.
The Raise Your Own Beef option also allows you an easy payment plan. We accept VISA payments paid weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or yearly.
If you can be classified a farmer this also can allow for certain tax advantages. Please contact us for more information.
How many cuts of meat do I get in an order?
While each order is slightly more or less meat depending on the animal, on a full order you will receive approximately 400 lbs, a half is 200 lbs and a quarter is 100 lbs of beef.
For a complete breakdown of the cuts on each order, please visit the Grain Fed or Grass Fed order pages for details.
What does it mean to “customize” my order?
Once your order is confirmed we send a quick form to be filled out with the specifics of your order. Here are some examples of how you can customize your order: 1. Thickness of steaks 2. Less roasts, more ground beef 3. No soup bones 4. Size of ground beef packages. We recommend two pound packages. If you have other requests, please feel free to contact us.
What size of freezer do I need?
A typical half order would be around 8 cubic feet. It comes in approximately 6-8 butcher boxes of finished product. A typical Quarter would be about 4 cubic feet, about 3-4 butcher boxes of finished product.
